Hampton Inn & Suites Frederick-Fort Detrick

It's an older property and there are some quirks with the plumbing, etc, but it's a really fantastic location (very short drive to downtown eating, shopping and food very nearby, easy walk to Walgreens across the parking lot) and the service was excellent. My large family group of 15 or so spent a lot of time in the lobby/breakfast area after breakfast hours playing board games and chatting. It was a very comfortable space for us. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. Our beds were comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and temperature. Breakfast had many options. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is super close to historic downtown and the highway. You don’t hear traffic noise. The front desk staff are super friendly and quick with checking you in and out.

I caught my apt on fire and I stayed here for two weeks, all services were excellent and got to know the employees like family, keep up the great work

Five stars! Hotel is very clean, has a spacious lobby, room was great; I really liked the pillows! Pillows are such a personal preference, but for me these were terrific. And the most important thing: the TV in the bedroom. This may seem like a weird thing to put such importance upon, but I am travelling from Massachusetts to Texas – which is a very long drive – and when I finally get to a hotel room in the evening I just wanna be able to turn on the TV, find something to watch without having to scroll through 500 stations. So many hotels that I have stayed in do not have a Guide either on the television or even a printed one with the stations listed. So you literally have to scroll through a gazillion stations hoping to find something you’re willing to watch for an hour or so. And the TV was not bolted in place; it is on a swivel mount so you can pull it out and turn it towards the desk or whichever bed you’re using. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!! Breakfast was also quite good for a hotel. Word of warning though: breakfast runs through 10 am – which I also appreciate because I am not usually in a rush to get out the front door before nine – but when they say 10 am, they really mean 9:50 am. I came down to grab something about that time and there was a crew packing up everything. I was able to grab a couple of hard boiled eggs and a muffin, but if you want a warm breakfast, or to make toast or a waffle, you better get down there by 9:30 am. To me, if breakfast is served until 10 am that means it is served until 10 am!

Room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and available for early check in. The staff was accommodating and friendly.

Service was excellent, I was promptly taken care of!!! I was impressed with all the answers to my questions, he was extremely polite!!! I wish all people were like him!!!

Great hotel in a safe and secure area. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms and hotel very clean. The morning breakfast breakfast was tasty and well stocked. My only complaint my room 518 had mold growing in the shower. For such a fine property I would expect the bathrooms to be mold free. I didn't complain because I was in a hurry to get on the road.
